This griddle was designed to fold up and be chucked in the car. It is made from solid steel and should last for years if treated regularly to some lovely meat juices (or onion and vegetable oil for you veggies!).

By just building a small fire and feeding it twigs you can cook for as long as you want.

The hotplate is great for doing eggs or bacon, or if you shuffle your fire about you can use it as a warming plate for bread etc. You can also boil a pan or kettle on it.

The griddle is 50cm x 38cm and comes ready to use, finished with olive oil. It is hand made at Mill Forge in heavy duty steel and should last years. Ray Mears shop has just attempted to copy this after seeing mine, but like many it uses mesh which will burn away before long and is no good for sausages!
